Another Skills USA Success

Skills USA Winner Jesse Osborne and Brother

The Vermont Auto Body Association once again sponsored another successful Skills USA competition. The competition, held at Rotunda's Auto Body again, is for area auto body students to compete on a number of skills tests that closely resemble the national contest.

This year fourteen students competed, the highest number in recent history. PPG Paint once again was a main sponsor and the judges came from a wide range of area shops, including an appraiser from State Farm Insurance and repairers from Blondin Brothers, Riverside, Rotunda's, Roy Wayne's, Shearer Chevrolet and Shearer Pontiac. Enterprise Car Rental supplied the much appreciated lunch.

BTC's Jesse Osborne was this year's winner and will be headed to Kansas City in July to compete at the national level. Joining him will be Shawn Martell who was the first place winner in the Aviation Technology competition.
