High Elements at the Bolton Adventure Center
The Culinary/Professional Foods students worked tirelessly for the first two months of school to complete their Sani Serve training and certification. This is a very important part of their culinary training so The Gourmet Cafe' kitchen and dining room remain spotless. Each year the restaurant earns at least a 98% rating from the Vermont health inspector.
After all this hard work the students were rewarded with a trip to Bolton Valley Resort to participate in a day long ropes course training. The students gained an appreciation of each other as they worked in teams on the low elements parts of the course. They then tested themselves on the high elements components. While students work on the ropes 40 feet off the ground they rely on their peers to keep them safe.
The students now have the Gourmet Cafe' up and running. It is open to the public Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11:30 to 1:00. Be sure to try the excellent food and the relaxing atmosphere.
