ERA Hosts Lake Champlain Maritime Museum Interactive Teleconference
Students in ERA were involved with a wide variety of video activities, including multi-camera productions of the BHS winter concert, basketball games and teleconferencing and hosting a Media Literacy course and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum on Vermont Interactive Learning Network. Ananda Moore, Steve Shaw, Graham Tiplady and Mr. Mo produced the annual Gospelfest video using 4 cameras and switcher, stereo audio with post production on Final Cut Pro. A DVD will be distributed to the many participants of Gospelfest. All of the students in the production studio are finishing up “Activities In Your Backyard”, a program of 365 fun things young people can do in their neighborhood. The idea, originally proposed by the class of 2000, is to give kids some creative ideas for physically active and intellectually challenging activities to do in their communities and schools. We are nearing 100 spots! The individual final project theme this year is to do a media program, audio or video about “Someone or something who has made a difference in the world”. It looks like a wide variety of subjects will be covered from local individuals to national political figures and maybe a pet or two. This should be the most challenging and creative project of the year. Be sure to look for it in your local VCR.
