Dragan Tanasic and Robert Dulude Set Up Cabling
On March 21 the Cisco students volunteered their time at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont to fix and complete a network cabling project. Executive Director, June Heston, said "Having students come in and volunteer benefits Make-A-Wish a great deal, but also gives the students the opportunity to experience a non-profit operation first hand." It is the hope of instructor Jane Donahue-Holt that these kinds of experiences will encourage continued community support.
Cisco Students also attended a professional Technology Conference held at South Burlington High School on April 4. There were a variety of topics covered including, Network Security, Linux Firewalls, Novell Zen Works, PDA's and alternatives to Office Suites and other more expensive applications. Students were able to interact with people in the industry and had the opportunity to talk with vendors, such as Cisco, Novell and Palm Computing.
Computer Systems students continue to be actively involved in raising money for the March of Dimes, both through the sales of plush Easter Bunnies, and putting a team together to participate in Walk America on April 27. Please help our students support this cause.
