Ananda Moore Edits Her Work
The Electronic Recording Arts program has grown 100% in student numbers this year! With that, our equipment needs and acquisitions have followed suit. With the assistance of a generous donation of equipment from Ellen Schaefer, the ERA program is finishing work on the IRIS Multimedia Editing Suite. New equipment includes a Beta cam deck and camcorder, various audio gear, lighting instruments, VHS recorders, remote cameras, furniture, computers with accessories and camera support systems. The IRIS Multimedia Suite will contain five Final Cut Pro non-linear editing stations with network connections to the Design and Illustration lab! More news on that in the next newsletter.
Congratulations to Ananda Moore, this years first Student of the Quarter. Ananda is a first year student from CVU. This semester Ananda has created several animations, written and submitted a grant to OVX for producing anti-smoking PSAs as well as worked on several video projects for Big Heavy World. On her most recent project Ananda found herself hiking up a snowy Camels Hump with 8 girls from Champlain Elementary School’s Hiking Club, while carrying a digital camcorder to film a documentary about the hiking club. When complete the program will likely air on RETN Channel 16 this year.
